Romance of Lost Glories

Qutb Minar, Delhi

If, by and large, all things past are perceived by mankind, us, as glorious, maybe the squalid malaise, corruption and lies, and our increasing empowerment for evil and destruction, will at some point in the future appear glorious?

Magar tab ham na honge
Kya kambakhti
Abhi berehmi saho
Aur vaqt bitne par
Kahin bhi na raho

(But then we will not be there
What a horrible misfortune
That now you live with the insufferable
And when we are in the past tense, to appear glorious
We shall not be anywhere.)

If seen in a book perhaps it will be more impressive - sometimes yes, nature sings a tune and it is captured by a lens.

The article claims that Raghu Rai can actually compose a tune with his camera..unusual perspective !
