reasons of the heart
even the heart does not
or cannot
know
but it is popular
to now and then exclaim
in utmost solemnity
or jest
the heart has its reasons
is it reasonable
to apportion so much
blame or glory
to that
which pumps by turn
into its four chambers
fluids of life
under command
from the first moment
to the last
is not reason somewhere else?
