Accidental Universe

In what we call our universe, everything within our galaxy or planetary system or home planet that we call earth, or the city, village, street, home: everything that exists in our perception or senses is accidental, resulting from a combination of random events that occur from infinity to infinity. What we therefore see, believe, call history or geography, our destiny – all are accidents or will be the result of accidents. The directions that they take will be the results of these accidents, or will be prevented by accidents.

Conversely, therefore, what has not happened, or what is not perceived or understood by us, or is not part of our history, is also accidental, as a result of combinations of events which were accidentally prevented from occurring.

Who is our Master, and where and what is he/she/it?

The point is, these are measurements of what we currently consider the planetary system of what we call our Sun (excepting the last two pictures); which in its entirety is almost an unknown, and invisible, speck within our own home galaxy.

Certainly, no form of life has been discovered within its orbits and distances, nor have the possibilities of these planets being habitable or hospitable to any elementary form of life been seriously considered.

Even if one were not to think about the Milky Way galaxy and the neighbouring galaxies like Andromeda and others, not to mention billions of trillions of clusters which constitute our observable universe, no matter how much our collective imaginations soar, nothing, apparently, even in our own solar system, knows us, or observes us, watches over us, is interested in us.

Like it or not, our connectivity is only to our neighbourhoods, streets, cities, continents, seas, mountains, insects, trees, and all the rest that we sense, see, on a planet we call Earth, which we brazenly overpopulate, overpollute, and deprade.

We want to believe that we are under the charge of someone who oversees and dispenses approval or disapproval, reward or punishment: a plane crash, a road accident, a fire, premature death, or what is considered by human beings as rewards for a bribe to a patently bribable Master, who supposedly punishes when ignored: Who, where, what.

Desire

DESIRE
IN THE RAIN
UNDER A LARGE BANYAN TREE
NEAR THE RIVER BANK
ON THE WINDING OUTSKIRT
OF THE VILLAGE

A TOUCH OF MOIST SKIN
BURNING BODIES AND CLOTHES
FURTIVE GLANCES
FRIGHTENED BY HUNGER
TOWARDS THE PATHWAY
FEIGNING CAUTION AGAINST INTRUDERS
BEFORE THROWING IT AND SHAME
TO THE WINDS

TWO BODIES
CLUMSILY POISED
IN MUTUAL CONQUEST AND SURRENDER
AS RAIN SET THEM AFIRE
FELL ON THE MUD FOR GENTLE SUPPORT
TORE AT THE LAST STRINGS OF RESTRAINTS
MELTED AS ONE TO BECOME
A HEAVING MOUND OF ELEMENTAL EARTH

WHICH DISSOLVED
AS THE MOUNTAINS CRUMBLED
THE OCEANS OVERFLOWED
AND TIME STOOD STILL

IN THAT MOMENT
DID NOT EXIST
THE PATH NOR THE TREE
NOR THE RIVER
NOR THE RAIN

IN THAT MOMENT
EVEN LOVE DIED
TO DIE AGAIN A HUNDRED THOUSAND TIMES
